Two Bladder Types
Latex and Butyl bladders
Butyl bladders
Characteristics:
Low levels of air leakage lets you keep the air pressure at a more constant level. Best for use
on hard surfaces.
Latex bladders
Characteristics:
Soft, bouncy, ideal for use on grass. Latex rubber has greater air permeability than butyl rubber,
meaning that the air slowly seeps out over time. Sports balls with latex bladders need to be inflated before use.
