Molten USA Teams Up with Nature’s Bakery to Bring P.E. To Local Elementary School

Reno, NV Molten USA, Inc. has teamed up with Nature’s Bakery to present “Molten Moves”, a community enrichment program aimed at inspiring kids to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle. Molten and Nature’s Bakery will visit Hidden Valley Elementary School on June 2nd to teach P.E. classes and talk about healthy eating.

Both companies are headquartered in Reno, NV and committed to giving back to their local community. As part of the Molten Moves program, Hidden Valley Elementary will receive a sizable donation of volleyballs, soccer balls, basketballs and playground balls from Molten USA. In addition, Nature’s Bakery will provide after-activity snacks for the kids who participate in the program.

Molten Moves was created in response to the call to action from the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) to combat the growing obesity crisis in the US. According to the SFIA, 48% of schools do not have P.E. as a part of their curriculum, and kids average only 23 minutes of physical activity while at school.

“I am devastated to see physical education classes continue to disappear from school curriculums and felt the need to take action to combat the growing problem in our own backyard” said Molten USA President Melissa Dawson. “With Molten Moves, our goal is not only to inspire the kids at the select schools we visit, but to empower other local companies take action as well. It’s a great experience for our participating staff and they are always excited to get out there make a difference in their community.”

“We’re very excited to have Molten Moves at Hidden Valley,” says Dean of Students Amy Howe. “Studies have shown that physical activity can have a positive impact on academic performance and student behavior. We look forward to welcoming Molten and Natures Bakery and know the program will be valuable for students and teachers alike.”
