World of Children® Award Partners with Molten USA to ‘Pass it Forward’

Reno, NV – World of Children Award and Molten USA have joined together to help promote youth leadership through Molten’s Pass it Forward program. The partnership will include collaboration on a variety of levels to not only advance the Pass it Forward program, but to inspire Pass it Forward participants to learn about World of Children Award’s youth leaders and the efforts they are making to improve the lives of vulnerable children around the globe.

One important element of the partnership is the annual selection of a World of Children Honoree to become a Pass it Forward Ambassador. The selected participants will be given the chance to ‘Pass it Forward’ on a larger scale by giving ball donations to vulnerable children internationally, paired with a commitment to promote the Pass it Forward program domestically. The Pass it Forward Ambassador will embark on an important mission to spread the joy of sport and play to children everywhere, regardless of race, gender, and socioeconomic background.

“Together we will be able to impact the lives of many more vulnerable children and use sports to keep them safe, keep them in school and teach them about working together in a social environment,’’ said Harry Leibowitz, Co-Founder of World of Children Award.

“Pass it Forward gives Molten the opportunity to educate youth regarding the value of participation in sports as well as the importance of leading a responsible, active and healthy lifestyle," said Melissa Dawson, President of Molten USA. "Now, with the strength of World of Children Award’s vision and partnership, we have the ability to connect with incredible youth leaders and people who dedicate their lives to improve circumstances for young kids and teens across the globe.”

About Pass it Forward

An interactive and educational program, Pass it Forward aims to promote youth sport participation while encouraging conversation about important topics such as philanthropy, sportsmanship and accountability. To participate, candidates are sent a Pass it Forward volleyball, basketball or soccer ball. Each ball is printed with the instructions: ‘Play with it, Post about it, Pass it on.’ As part of their Pass it Forward mission, participants must 1) play and be active, 2) engage and connect with the Pass it Forward community on the website, and 3) pass their ball forward to someone new. By combining sports education with philanthropy, Pass it Forward encourages kids to be active participants in a global community. Learn more at: http://moltenusa.com/passitforward.
